Rice Balls Ginataan

My daughter is very fond of rice balls and my husband loves ginataan. To make both of them happy, I make what they love in one menu. This photos were taken a couple of weeks ago when we got our asian goodies in Pittsburgh. The kids had so much fun in helping me to make the ginataan. They were the one who made the rice balls.
See how seriously and diligently they're working on to form the rice balls?

It was EJ's first time to help us in preparing the ginataan. Although he doesn't want to try to eat it when it's cooked, at least he is interested enough to help us and have fun.
Here's the yummy ginataan which my hubby called Guinobatan (one town in Albay Province) lol. The ingredients were banana (saba in jar), sweet potato (asian kamote, yung di malata), taro (gabi), jackfruit, condensed milk, and coconut milk. I did not include tapioca this time.
Just remember....

that a little bit of this
and a little dash of that
makes a sumptuous life...

so Spice Up Your Life.

  10. The family that cooks together eats together. Thanks for the post. God bless you all always.

  17. Guinataan was my favorite afternoon meryenda of all time! There was this canteen in the community I grew up in and they would always keep a serving for me when they had this because they knew how much I loved it :)
