I bought a casserole seasoning mix at walmart when we last shopped there and made a home style chicken and mushroom for the first time.
You will need:
1 cup uncooked regular long grain rice
1pck seasoning mix
i can slice mushroom, drained
1/2 cup frozen peas
2 tbsp butter
1 1/2 lbs boneless skinless chicken breast
1 1/2 cups milk
1 cup water
Directions:
1. Preheat oven to 375F. Place rice, mushrooms, peas and butter in 13x9x2-inch baking dish. Top with chicken.
2. Mix milk, water and seasoning. Mix until well-blended. Pour over chicken and rice. Cover with foil.
3. Bake 45 min. or until chicken is cooked through and rice is tender. Let stand 5 mins. Cut chicken into serving size pieces. Stir rice before serving.
I love this dish, almost like chicken a la king!

ReplyDeleteIt looks so good and yummy. For a first timer to this kind of dish, you passed your test with flying colors. That means you are a consummate cook able to churn out a yummy dish even for the first time. Kung baga sa musika, oido or by musical ear. Thanks for the yummy post. God bless you all always.
ReplyDeleteAy parang masarap nga ito ah.... pero mas gusto ko ang thigh fillets (I don't eat much chicken breast).
