Tuna Patties

I made some tuna patties a couple of weeks ago because my husband has been craving for it . I found this simple recipe at cooks.com shared by CM. I als made some battered hot peppers.

1 egg
1 can chunk tuna (6 1/2 to 7 oz.)
1 tbsp. tuna liquid
1/2 tsp. prepared mustard
1/4 cup fine dry bread crumbs
Fat for frying

Combine egg, tuna, tuna liquid, mustard, and half the bread crumbs. Mix well, shape into four patties. Roll in rest of crumbs.

Heat fat for frying. Cook tuna patties over medium heat 3 to 4 minutes until browned on one side. Turn gently and cook several minutes longer until browned on other side.

A neighbor gave me a huge tomato a couple of weeks ago and I saved the seeds of it. I put the seeds in a table napkin but when it dried, I noticed a heart shape in it. What do you think?

Bibingka or Rice Cake

I bought this rice cake mix at the Oriental store in Pittsburgh last time.  Now, I never  had an experience  making bibingka before but that's what directions are for right?
I told my burritos that I will try to make  abibingka and they  both jumped up and help.
She even tried the  unbaked mix wahhhh.
Now this is what it looks like when baked.  It doesn't look like a real bibingka but what can we do, we're not in the Philippines hehehe.
It wasn't bad though, they actually tasted pretty good.

Rose & Sushi

My roses finally gave up life after the two days snow.  she survived the frost but not the snow.  Farewell my roses, will see you again next spring!

Below is the sushi that my daughter had for lunch last Wednesday.  There are menus in school that she doesn't like so I prepare her a cold lunch to eat.  When I attended her event in church last Thursday, one of the Moms told me that they are all impress that Rylie eat sushi hehehe.

Fried Tinapang Bangus

My daughter and I both love sea food contrary to the boys in our home hehehe. I had a tinapang bangus that was given to me by Ate Agnes last month so I fried it a couple of days ago. Rylie and I ate it with rice. She ate hers with slices of tomatoes while I ate mine with pickled cucumber.

It was delish!

Thanksgiving Feast & Family Bonding

Here's how the Cottrill Clan celebrate Thanksgiving.  Lot's of coking, chatting, and  eating!
The kids wore out themselves playing before the food got done  They munched a bunch of fresh veggies though.
My sister in law Chris did most of the cooking.  SIL Michele brought some  noodles, dessert, and deviled egg.
Here's Shelby patiently awaiting for the bird to get done hehehe.
While waiting for the rest of the food to  be done, photo session opp.  Above is Chris, me, and Michelle.
EJ complained because the girls played girly stuff and they wouldn't let him  join lol.
Here's our dearest Dad, we love you!
Chibugan na!  at last the turkey got done hehehe.
Above is beans casserole, below is big bird which took my SIL to bake for almost five hours.  Poor Chris, she got so exhausted with all the cooking and stuff.
Spiral ham, champ  loved the bone!
Pumpkin roll made by Shelby and Jen.
Cheese cake made by Chris.  Dessert poured, there were three pumpkin pies, chocolate cake, and other stuff.
Whew, I think I gained weight after  indulging with those yummy foods!  I thank God for giving me a second family who value family time.
