Defelice Bros. Pizza 365/307

We were invited by the MacCabe at Defelice Bros. Pizza on the day of our anniversary. We have never been there so we went and tried the place.
"The Pizza that is worth going after"  logo is true, I love their pizza.
The Taco Sub that Ms.  Burrito ordered.

Pumpkin Cookies 365/304

My SIL Chris made these pumpkin cookies when Aunt Peg came to visit from Ohio.
November 3, 2011:
  • Me and Mr. Burrito   just  finished our lessons.  I have to pick up  my daughter from school in a little bit.
  • I am planning to make some spaghetti for dinner, that's what  hubby wants to eat.
  • Went to dancing school for Ms. Burrito's  lessons  and I did not bring my bag.  I forgot that the tuition is due and I did not know that there is a costume to be paid for either wahhh.  Good thing is, we live close by, I sent hubby to get my bag for me.  Then my wallet got emptied lol.  Oh boy, I need more task to have some moolah for Christmas t send to family in Pinas.
  • On a happy note, Ms. Burrito brought her report card the other day.  We are so proud of her, the behavior are all satisfactory and her lowest grade is 96, 98, and 99. The rest is 100, right now she is in superior level, way to go Anak!
  • We visited Dad  after  Ms. Burrito's dancing class.

Biribid 365/303

I made this snack that Mama used to make when I was growing up. She uses the sticky rice for this one but since we have limited resources here, I use glutinous flour and mixed it with the halaya in bottle that I bought in Asian store.  We call this snack Biribid in bicol or pilipit in tagalog which means twisted.
It's easier to make here because everything is ready unlike  the way we used to make  it where we have to soak the sticky rice to soften it, then  we would pound it  with a wooden   mortar and pestle and sift the flour then repeat pounding  over and over until it's all flour.  We also have to pound the sugar  so it would  turn into powder as we did not have powdered sugar.  Mama used to mix the sticky rice with young coconut meat and it's really  delicious!  This one is not as good as  the one that Mama makes but it's good enough to  satisfy my cravings.
November 2, 2011:

  • It's been two nights in a row that hubby and I haven't had a good night sleep.    We have been  hearing different noises which we think is weird.  I don't like being deprived of sleep because I always end up with a bad migraine during the day.  Hubby and I got up at 4 since we couldn't take laying in bed  just tossing and turning.  I hope that I could sleep good tonight.
  • I vacuumed the floor early this morning.  I wasn't able to clean our house last weekend because of the funeral and  school activities.
  • I  am practicing Mr. Burrito to count from 1-20 this week.  He can recite  it fine  up to 12 then he forgets 13 and 15 which frustrates him but I told him to just try and try.  My motivator is by telling him that girls  really like boys that is good with numbers (lol).
  • We ate for the first time at the newly opened Bob Evans at our area.  It was the first time for me and the kids to eat at Bob Evans.  Their food was alright but I don't think I would go back there as much as I want to go back at Eat N' Park most of the time hehehe.
  • We went to Walmart after  Bob Evans to grab some groceries we need.
Alrighty, need to put the kiddos in bed.  Thanks for visiting.

Pattaya Rice 365/302

One of the readers  suggested/gave me this idea.  I think she's from Indonesia and she said that the is called Pattaya Rice although I  used the wild rice mix instead of fried rice.  The rice is supposed to be rolled up in  an egg but I just made it like an omelet.
November 1, 2011:

  • With all the things that's going on in our schedules, my laundry got piled up so today, that's what I did aside from teaching Mr. Burrito.
  • Now am trying to update even if it's 12 midnight already lol.   I planned to at least bloghop today but I just couldn't do it.  I had an excruciating migraine  late in the afternoon.
  • We woke up early  and attended the All Saint's Day Mass where Ms. Burrito  worn an angel costume and did the first reading.  She was also the one who brought the  Revelation book to the altar.  You made us so proud Anak!
  • I made beef nilaga  for dinner, it's been a while since we had it and it was delish!
Alrighty, I reckon that I need to go to bed since I have to get up early tomorrow.  G'nyt everyone!
