Blueberry Crepes

Vegetable might be an odd choice for breakfast but my kids doesn't mind whenever I made them breakfast involving veggies such as these.  My daughter loved steamed green beans and sliced  cucumbers.  These are all harvested  from our garden so it is very fresh.  How about you, does your children  like to eat veggies for breakfast?

This is one of those summer morning s where my daughter was in the mood to make us dessert after breakfast. She always makes crepes for us.

Indulge Naturally with GinnyBakes

I must admit, over the past weeks, I have this cravings for something sweet.  I feel guilty that I haven't been working out regularly but I keep eating snacks  with high calories (bummer).  I was delighted when GinnyBakes sent me some  of their products to review.  I was able to indulge  naturally without the guilt.   GinnyBakes is one brand you can count on because they used organic ingredients on their products.

I received a pack of Coconut Oatmeal Bliss, Peace Love and Crumble Muffin, Butter Crisp Love, and Chocolate Chip Love.  When my kids came home from school, they were delighted to see the sweet treats in the kitchen table.  They immediately opened the ones that   attracted them the most.  My son love the Chocolate Chip Love and daughter jumped on the  Coconut Oatmeal Bliss.  I love the coconut Oatmeal Bliss as well.  I grew up in Asia so  products with coconut and  rice is always a winner for me.

I  brought this Butter Crisp Love yesterday  at Doquesne University when my daughter had her first day of  their music program.  I also  brought me bottles of water so my son would not ask for soda  from the vending machine(well, he did but I gave him water instead).  A box of this Butter Crisp contains  6 individual packages.  I like that it is not super sweet and it's really crispy.

If you are a regular visitor of this blog, you know  that my 9 year old chef wannabe love to cook and bake so when she saw this Peace Love and Crumble Muffin, she literally jumped for joy because she wants to do it.  She  baked this one by herself.  Whenever she is attempting to bake, I am not allowed in the kitchen which worries me but I trust her and I always  say a prayer that she'll be safe while I am not beside her.
I told her that I have to be in the kitchen so I can take pictures for the review.  She baked this when we got back from  the City Music Center which went well by the way.
The muffin turned out really well and it was delicious.  I can honestly say that she is better in baking than me as I dislike baking.  She added an egg, butter, Greek Yogurt, vanilla extract.
I love the packaging  of the products and I also like the story  of  how the company started.  It is always a plus when they include the story in the packaging, it  encouraged people to go for their dreams.   I would definitely buy more of the  Coconut Oatmeal Bliss because both daughter and I loved it!  Thanks a lot GinnyBakes for the delicious goodies you've sent me.

Roasted Chicken Wings

While I was doing  my early morning  walk, I was thinking of what to cook for dinner that both  my husband and the kids would like.  Thought of making salmon but  discarded the idea since we  just had salmon a couple of days ago.  Luckily, I found some great recipes online.  I am inspired to make one of the  Texas Pete Hot Sauce recipes  sio I have to grab a bottle of  Texas Pete Hot Sauce  that I can use  later on.

I would like  to make the Cha! Hoisin-Glaazed Roasted Chicken wings from their recipes but I have to find Texas Pete Hot Sauce first when I go to the store.  The recipe is very easy to make as it only needs a cup of  Texas Pete Hot Sauce, one stick of salted butter, and salt and pepper.  You have to marinate it in 24  hours with the sauce that is why I will just make this recipe next time so I can do it right.  Browsing through Texas Pete Hot Sauce list of recipe gives me great pleasure because I  love hot recipes like this.  Another recipe that I would love to try is their Cha!  BBQ Grilled Salmon.  We started  eating salmon  lately as part of our  healthy living goal and we also  eliminated frying most of the food that we ate  for healthy reasons.

Texas Pete Hot Sauce recipe  will be perfect for  me to make, they are easy to follow and doesn't  ask for so many  ingredients which exactly what I love, simple but  delicious!  They have tons of delicious recipe online so check them out.  You can also follow their social media  account  for future updates.  Another thing is, you can create your own recipe using Texas Pete Hot sauce and share them on social network using the hastag "TexasPete.  Lastly, Texas Pete  will be making a $1 donation to the Feeding America for every social share of this post throughout the campaign so if you have a moment, kindly share and leave me a note that you did.  Thank you!

Addictive Chips from RiceWorks

During our adventure at Lake Arthur in Morraine Park, PA,  we attended one of the   event  being held  at the park as part of the Regatta.  The company was promoting cars and they also have giveaways and   activities for kids.

Aside from some freebies (shirt and sunblock) that they give away to the  people that are coming to their stall, they also serve free drinks and snack (fruit and chips).  I was very curious of the chips they have that says wild riceworks so I  took and one and tried.  As a rice-fanatic (I can't live without rice), I fall in love with the taste of this chip.  I thought it was pretty good then I let my kids and hubby  tried it and the liked it too!
So when we came home, I went to their Facebook Fan Page and contacted them for a possible product review.  I was delighted when they agreed.  A couple of weeks later, I received two huge huge boxes of them, I was very surprised and  so pleased of course!
My daughter immediately opened  them when  she came home from school.

They sent us two flavors, the Sweet Chili and the Sea Salt.  I love the sweet chili and  my kids love the Sea Salt.  The Sea Salt flavor has  gourmet whole grain brown rice and sesame seeds which I really love.

These  chips are all natural, wheat and gluten free, zero transfat, cholesterol, and no preservatives.  I would definitely buy more if I ran out of stock, which would be  for a long time because I have plenty lol.  Thanks RiceWorks!  Oh, I gotta tell you, chili and riceworks chips?  Delicious!
