The kids wanted to try the food at La Cucina Italian Grill. They opened few months back but we've never eaten since it's reopening. It used to be De Felice Brother's Pizza and we ate there before but that one closed and La Cucina took over. We didn't know what to expect but we kind of read the good reviews online and that's why we were convinced to go.
Looking at their menu, we couldn't decide what to get so instead, we ordered the Sicilian Pizza. IT was absolutely delicious! The crust was very thick but not rubbery like other pizza crust I have tried from other places. One slice filled me up.
The setting was definitely different than what I have remembered although the space is still the same.
They cook the food per order so it takes a little while before it gets served.
Glad my son has his spinner with him or else, he would have been bored to death while waiting lol
The employees seems very polite and nice. Our waitress was very good and she made sure that we were okay and kept checking on us.
Our daughter was not 100% feeling well that day so she was kind of not in the mood for playing in front of the camera = as she would normally would.
The price is a little bit on the expensive side for our budget but I guess it is worth it since their food are delicious and the service is awesome.
I learned an Italian word by going there. Benvenuti means welcome.
I might go back there for a date with my husband or with the kids someday.
We didn't expect that the place would be as busy as they were but they were packed when we came.
There is a restaurant in our area called Spicy Gringo. Some of the people we know rave about it so one time when we were coming home from Pittsburgh, we decided to go there and try their food.
The place was vibrant with all their colorful display of artworks. I think the owner is a traveler and has a love of photography since there were so many photos that were hang on the wall.
There were a couple of customers inside when we came in so I had the feeling that the food might not be that good but since we were already inside, we decided to give it a try.
While we were waiting for our order, salsa and chips were served.
I am not sure if this place is more of a bar than a restaurant but I saw a lot of different drinks in the bar area.
It took a while for our food to be served so I went to the other room where all these different artworks were displayed and took more photos. I hope you enjoy some of it.
The two artworks on the frames were my favorite. If you just look at the photos, you will see faces but if you look closer, you will see other characters in it. Take a closer look and let me know what you see.
As we were waiting, we were contemplating of just leaving because there was a foul smell that was driving me nuts. I wasn't sure if it was the one who were seated close to our table but it was making me gag.
I thought I was the only one that smelled it but even my daughter smelled it too.
We couldn't do anything but to laughed it off.
The guacamole was really good but their burrito was bitter. I think it was the sauce that it made it bitter but I only ate half of my food because I didn't like it. I tried my husband's rice and it tasted raw so I really didn't think it was worth the try. If I were to give them ratings of 1 to 5, I'd probably rate them 1 for the food but the server was nice so I will give them 2.5 overall.
Don't get me wrong, I love Mexican food but this is by far the worse I've had in all the places we've tried. Then again, people have different opinions and that is just my opinion. I won't recommend it. At least now we know not to go there if we ever have Mexican cravings. I like Chico Fiesta's food, my only issue with them is the BIG portions!
Volleyball season is back and my daughter is excited. She doesn't play a lot of sports but she loves playing volleyball. I think she got that from me because that's the only sport I played in college. They played three games already and won two times. They lost the first game but it was okay. The team practices 3 hours a week and they are now getting better. I am impressed with our daughter's improvement. She still does not have the power that she needs to serve the ball from outside the court but I think she is so much better compared to last year.
During her practices, she always brings some snacks and she was excited to see that I have the box full of her favorite nutbar. She tried this last year and loved it so now it is one of her favorite energy bars to snack on. Her favorite picks are the ones with coconuts. She immediately sorted through the box and grabbed all the ones with coconut in it.
What I love about these nut bars is that they are filled with organic seeds and nuts. They are powered by superfoods. It's basically a plant-based protein with all the ingredients grown and not made. There are different flavors available such as almond apricot, chocolate peanut butter chips, ginger lemon, chocolate nuts and seasalt, caramel coconut, blueberry lavender and many more.
It is not only my daughter and I who loves these delicious energy nut bars but also my husband. He loves to snack on this during his break time at work so I make sure to pack one on his lunch box. It''s funny because I forgot to put one in his lunch yesterday and he told me that he was looking for it during his break time.
I put one in my daughter's packed lunch for school and she was happy to find it. I usually pack her a fruit cup or freshly cut fruits but this time I added the nut bar to surprise her and she just loved it.
I went to my kids school last week to help another Mom with a fund raiser for the school and I brought two of these and I gave her one. She loved it and said that she will look for this in the store.

Working at home has its consequences. Sometimes, you get to eat whatever because you are home and it's very easy to get them. Having these healthy bars is great because you get to eat healthy snacks.

While looking at this qsc gx5 at Guitar Center online, I was also listening to gospel music by Joey and Rory. I remember when I was growing up, we didn't have TV but we always had a radio and my father love to cook while he listened to old music. He made me learn how to appreciate and eventually love old but good music. He always told me that no matter how simple the menu is, it would make it taste so much better if you are listening to music or singing with it. Corned beef and rice were one of his "simple" dishes but it was always delicious.
Occassionally, my husband and I drink wine at home depending on the mood. It's very seldom but when we feel like celebrating, we would buy a bottle of wine and drink some. It is nice to have a wine bottle opener like this one that I got from Ozeri. It is an electric stainless steel opener with auto activation. It is pretty cool.
This automatically activates to remove and eject corks when placed on a wine bottle. This would be a great addition to your wine rack and would be a show piece when you host a party.
If you are looking for a perfect gift for wine lover in your life, this would be great. It opens a bottle of wine in just seconds with push button ease.
It includes a compact foil cutter that doubles as a stand, along with a bonus pourer and stopper. When we were still living in Korean, everytime some Korean friends would come over at our house, they would bring a bottle of wine. I brought them when we moved back here but we never opened any of it. I told my husband that we can just keep it as a souvenir. We have a little collection here for display purposes only lol.
It has a built-in rechargeable battery that opens up to 60 wine bottles on a single charge. It lights up when you use it and it is cordless. It is made of high-quality stainless-steel that fits in the palm of your hand.
You can find this at different retailers such as Home Depot, KMart, Wayfair or if you want to avail the sale price, you can buy it via amazon. The prices vary depending on what store outlet you buy it.
I did not make a video when I used it but I found two videos that would show you how cool this wine wottle openere is. Thanks to Amy Gramelspacher and Kym for these videos on on Youtube.
