GuyLian, the World's Favorite Belgian Chocolate

The men at our home (husband and son) are the "sweet teeth" in the family.  They always crave  for something sweet when  we get done eating a hearty meal  or even   for a snack, they want something sweet.  That is  why I was delighted when I was given an opportunity to   try   different kinds of  Artisanal Belgian Chocolates from GuyLian.

Whenever I try a product for the first time, I am always interested in learning their  story.  I always read the history of their company, on how it started.   The name GuyLian is a combination of   the name of the founders, the  husband and wife, Guy and Lian Foubert.    Guy was a passionate Belgian Chocolatier   who makes handmade  chocolate truffles in Sin-Niklaas, Belgium.  In 1958, Guy and Lian  got married and started their small artisanal chocolate maker company.  Fast forward, 55 years later,  their company  crafts the finest authentic  Belgian chocolate truffles which  is being enjoyed by chocolate lovers around the world.

They sent me a  big  package of different kinds (as shown above) of chocolates and mind you, only few are left now.  We have been savoring the  richness of it.  I must admit, I am not your typical chocolate lover girl but I like some of their chocolates.

There is one that is specially wrapped and my daughter gave it to her  teacher.  She said that she loves it, but then again, who wouldn't?  They are incredibly good!

Hubby and I are surprised that our son and daughter even liked the  dark chocolate ones.  MY husband is not crazy about dark chocolates, I tried them and they were  as god as the other ones.
Now I know why they call  their chocolates artisanal because it makes a whole lot of sense as you can see in their  packaging, it is very artistic.  From the packaging down to the chocolate itself, the designs are very artsy.

My favorite ones are the milk chocolates ones, the sweetness and richness of it is just right for my pallet.

I also love the creamy  chocolate truffles  that are designed into seashells.  These reminds me of home because of the  seashell design, it makes me feel like I am at home  walking in the sand picking some astray seashells in the seashore.  Oh it is a great feeling to feed both your  pallet and your thoughts!

I highly recommend Guylian, the Artisanal Belgian Chocolates.  You should try the world's favorite Belgian chocolate, I am sure, you will love it too as much as we do!

How to Become the Hostess You Never Knew You Were

For many people, entertaining family and friends is a passion. Even if you're not used to hosting parties, you may still develop a passion for it once you experience it for the first time. To help make things go smoothly for your next social gathering, here are 5 tips on how to become the hostess you never knew you were:

1. Have kitchen appliances ready to help make food preparation easy.

To help make food preparation a breeze, there are a wide variety of appliances available to work with. Just some appliances you may want to look into buying include food processors, hand blenders and mixers, stand mixers, and coffee makers and grinders.

To ensure that everything goes according to plan, it's also helpful to have all of the parts handy as well. For example, having all of the kitchenaid blender parts, such as blades, jars, and covers, handy will prevent you from having to scramble if something should break or go missing.

2. Have enough kitchenware for each guest.

If you are planning to entertain a large group of people, it's crucial that you have enough kitchenware so that everyone can eat without problems. If your group is particularly large, you may want to use disposable plates, bowels, napkins, and utensils. However, depending on the occasion, using disposable items may actually offend people. It's also important to remember that buying a lot of disposable items can become a bit costly.

3. Check for food allergies.

When serving other people in your home, be sure to ask about any food allergies. By knowing about allergies beforehand, you can ensure that your food is safe to consume. You may also want to ask for food preferences and if anyone is vegetarian or vegan.

4. Have plenty of snacks.

Before and after the main meal, it's polite to have snacks readily available for your guests. However, you may want to only provide light snacks before a meal to ensure that people don't become full. If people are too full on your snacks, it's very possible that you will have a lot of food left over from the meal.
When preparing snacks, make sure to have plenty to choose from. While you may want to stick with more traditional snacks, such as chips or cheese and crackers, you can try other foods as well. However, just make sure to have enough snacks available that everyone can get a bite to eat.

5. Have plenty of drink options.

As the hostess, it's crucial that you provide a variety of drinks for your guests. While alcoholic drinks are favorable, non-alcoholic beverages should also be available. It's also very important that you stop serving alcohol at a certain point to let the effects wear off before people drive home. If you think anyone is unfit to drive home, you should never hesitate to take their car keys.

With these 5 tips, your next dinner party can be a hit with friends and family.

Namaste Gluten Free Brownies

Are you looking for some gluten-free treats and foods?  Try Namaste Foods, they have down-to-earth goodness  products that you can incorporate into your healthy lifestyle!  I received their sample kit to try and review.  They sent me a pack of brownie mix, pizza crust mix,  and muffin mix.  The kits also included  coupons, recipes, and a shopping bag which I really love!
When it comes to baking desserts, I leave it to my  two my lovely duo who loves to bake together, my husband and daughter.  They were very excited to make the brownies first.

The mix is very easy to prepare, even my 8-year old can do it alone.  Here's how the Namaste Gluten-Free Brownies turned out.  It was rich and  soft!  Namaste products  is the way to go if you want to enjoy  your  sweets and not feel guilty at all.

When it comes to brownies, I love the corner pieces.  I love  the crispiness  to it and my  other  family members love the  middle part.

My final verdict?  It was excellent!    I would definitely buy their brand again and it would be for less since I have a coupon to use, yay!  We haven't  tried the pizza crust and the muffin mix but I am sure that it would be as good as the brownie mix that we just baked  and enjoyed!  Tune in  for the next post for the  two remaining products.  Thank you so much Namaste!  To find out more of their products, just visit them through the links  indicated in this post.

Crackers, Cheese, and Pepperoni

My daughter  prepared this snack for her brother.  Sometimes, she is very thoughtful and sweet to  him but there are times that they don't get along.  I know that bickering is just normal for siblings  so I really have to stretch my patience and  understanding for their differences.  At the end of the day, when I  peek at the bedroom and see them sleeping in their own beds peacefully, it makes me  always say to myself "They are my precious babies!"

I forgot to take a photo of the crackeroni with cheese (that's how they call it).  They put cheese and pepperoni  in between two crackers.
