Jack Fruit - Project 365 # 72

Jack Fruit is called "Langka" in the Philippines.  I miss eating fresh  fruit  of langka but  the only available here in the US is the canned ones.   We buy  it most of the time because my daughter love langka too.  We also love to put it in turon and ginataan.
March 13, 2011:
  • My husband  couldn't sleep last night, he was coughing a lot so I did not sleep good either.
  • We did not go to church today, we're worried that whatever hubby got might be  transferred to other people in church.
  • I made some tinola today,  will bring some to my father in law as he has not eat anything for days, he got sick pretty bad.

We call this fruit nangka; it's almost similar right?

  17. Too bad that the jackfruit you had came from Thailand. But we do not have any jackfruits in cans, only in bottles. Sana kung may available na same products from the Philippines eh yung ang bilhin mo para makatulong naman sa export nang Philippines. Kawawa naman si John at father niya na parehong may sakit pa. I will continue to pray for the healing of both of them. By the stripes of Jesus they are healed. Amen. Be strong Rose since you were the only one who did not get sick. I have been praying for all of you with a grieved heart. Thanks for the post. God bless you all always. BTW, pray also for mommy Rubz. She's having a severe domestic problem with her husband. I monitored her situation at Facebook.
