Maki Roll 365/245

At the start of the month, the  teacher  sends  the  hot lunch menus for the kids.  Ms. Burrito and I would look at the menus then we crossed out the ones she doesn't like.  On those days, I have to prepare  her cold lunch to take to school.  I made her some Maki Roll (my own version)  one day last week.  I also made some for my student at home and he loved it!
September 3, 2011:

  • We went to  the Treasure Island Flea Market in Steubenville Ohio  this morning.  We canvassed for the price of furniture   for our porch (if  it's ever going to be finished  lol).  It was lower than we expected the price to be so I think, we can get it when our porch  is done.
  • We bought some corn, we find a good deal.. 1.99  a dozen, you can't beat that.  I also bought two butternut squash for 50 cents a piece, not bad.  We brought the corn at Dads and cooked  it there.
  • I felt so bad for Ms. Burrito last night, I think she forgot the materials of her homework in school and she was freaking out and crying.  I told her that we  would  talk to her teacher and maybe  she  can give  Ms. Burrito a chance to complete it the next day.
  • We made some pork BBQ for the boys and  grilled some smoked fish for me and Ms. Burrito.  We ate dinner  at our back patio, we had fun!
Thanks a lot for visiting.

  2. Is maki roll the same as sushi roll? They look like sushi roll to me although sushi is made of fresh fish. EJ seems to relish your maki roll. Too bad that Rylie left her materials for her homework at school. I hope her teacher gives her another chance to finish and submit her homework the following day. I hope your porch will be finished very soon. Thanks for the post. God bless you all always.
