Mother's Day Treats

The kids  made me a breakfast in bed during Mother's Day.  It was really sweet and special.  They might have torn  the kitchen apart  and  made a huge mess but I  didn't mind cleaning them up as they did their best to do something special for me.
I giggled that they  cut me chunks of stick butter instead of using the butter in the tab.  I love it though, they made me feel loved!
Muffin eggs were cheesy and tasty.  They told me later on that they used the crescent roll as a based for this, added the well beaten egg with cheese, parsley and salt and pepper, and baked it in the oven.
" Tomato salsa to balanced out the  richness of the muffins" my daughter said.  I usually eat salsa like this with fish and rice but I ate it anyway as they were waiting in front of me to see how I like their  frit of labor.
The cup of coffee was perfect, great job kiddos.  After I ate, they  gave me my gifts  which they wrapped in a wedding  wrapping paper (I almust burst out laughing but I  tried not to, lol).  It doesn't really matter anyway, it would be okay for me if they have handed it to me without wrapping it.  They got me a new set of bambook cutting boards.
My husband volunteered to make dinner that day.  I thought  he was going to cook but he bought a chicken rotisserie  chiken, cooked some rice, and sliced some cucumber.
It is always nice to get a break from cooking  once in a while.  IT makes you feel appreciated.
Hubby said,"Why spend hours of coking if you can have dinner in less than 15 minutes".  Men,  lol.
I would say, it was delicious!
For dessert, we had some sponge cake filled with  fruits and whipped cream.

This is their take on strawberry shortcake lol.
Who can resist a good  looking treat like this.  I indulged on this treat even though I am trying to avoid sugar.
Thanks to my husband and  children for making my MOther's day so special!  For the eforts and  so much love, two thumbs up and lots of hugs and kisses to you guys!  I wish Mother's day is everyday, lol.
