Sticky Country Style Pork Ribs #A-Spice-A-Day #4

Ingredients:
1/4 cup soy sauce
1/4 cup Chinese BBQ sauce (I replaced it with Baby Ray's BBQ Sauce)
1/4 cup honey
3 garlic cloves, finely chopped (I replaced it with Golden Nugget Garlic)
1 tablespoon finely chopped  peeled fresh ginger (I used the ginger in the jar)
12 chicken drumsticks (I used  4 country style pork ribs)
2 teaspoon toasted sesame seeds

Method:
1.  Mix the soy sauce, barbecue sauce, honey, garlic,  and ginger in a resalable  storage bag to blend (I used a pyrex bowl with mine).  Add the chicken, add the chicken, seal the bag, and toss to  coat with the sauce.  Refrigerate for at least one hour but preferably overnight.

2.  Position an oven rock 8-10 inches from the heat source and preheat the broiler.

3. Line a large rimmed baking sheet with heavy-duty foil. Transfer the drumsticks (ribs) and marinade to the prepared baking sheet and broil, turning the drumstick (ribs) occasionally and watching them closely for 25 minutes (I cooked my ribs for an hour), or until the chicken is cooked through and the marinade has glazed it is coked through and the marinade glazes the chicken (ribs)

4.  Sprinkle the sesame seeds  over the chicken and serve (I did not put sesame  on my ribs)..
It was my first  time using the broiler of our  oven and I am glad that it turned out perfectly and so delicious, thanks to Curtis Stone's recipe.  We had a really nice dinner tonight and I am so surprised that a little bit of  ginger in a marinade can do a  big difference in a dish.

A Spice A Day #4 - January 4

  • We went to the mall and picked up the  curtain we ordered last week.  We also bought  our son a new coat.
  • We went to the  store also for grocery shopping.  Our grocery is getting higher and higher every time. We spent  a couple of dollars under $300, goodness!
  • I made  pork nilaga fr dinner.
