Teriyaki BBQ and Sweet Corn

BBQ season is starting again now that the weather is getting warmer.  I haven't uncovered our grill yet since I haven't bought a new  tank of gas yet.  However, we were craving for some good BBQ so I made some Teriyaki BBQ a couple of days ago in the oven.
I love this new  kabob rack universal fit  that I got from Cavetools.  It has a specially designed notches  that lock skewers into place.  If you owned the Cavetools skewers, you will find this rack so awesome when you  do your BBQ.    Just like  many of their products, this rac is also dishwasher safe so it is very easy to  clean it after using it.  It is stackable so it saves space when you store them.
You may buy this via  amazon , use the KabobRack15 coupon code to enjoy a 15%  discount.  This comes with free copy of grill Master's Essential Barbecue Recipe Book & access to meat smoking journal.  If you are feeling generous, you can buy one for you and one for your love ones and enjoy more savings.  There's an instant 10%  savings when you purchase two or more.
If you want a nice teriyaki sauce recipe, here's one from Allrecipes.com
  • Combine 1 cup water, soy sauce, brown sugar, honey, ginger, and garlic powder in a saucepan over medium heat. Cook until nearly heated through, about 1 minute.
  • Mix cornstarch and 1/4 cold water together in a cup; stir until dissolved. Add to the saucepan. Cook and stir sauce until thickened, 5 to 7 minutes.
I was going to make  mashed potatoes but  chose to  make steamed rice instead.  The corn is super sweet.  I wish  our asparagus  have started to grow new ones already, it would have been a great veggie for this BBQ.

Valentine Feast at Home

My husband went to work on Valentine's Day.  He suggested for us to go out for dinner so I don't have to cook, however, I hate going out on holidays like this.  You know restaurants are always crowded and I just end up having a migraine so I just cook at home.  Let me show you the feast we had, home-cooked food are the best  in my book.  I even made  the card I  gave to my husband.
I made three dishes that  we all liked.  I made some pork BBQ and we ate it with steamed rice and steamed veggies.
I love using these stainless steel BBQ skewers from Cave Tools.   I love that it measures 15.5 inches so you can really pack it with meat and veggies.  The feature that I like the most with this set is the food remover ring.  It helps to easily slides the food  off the kebobs.  It is dishwasher safe but I love washing it manually.  The advantage of having these kind of skewers is that you can  reuse it over and over again unlike  bamboo skewers.
This works really good too when you want to  grill corn on a cob.
This set has ten skewers so if you are hosting a party, you can get a couple of set of these and use it for grilling your favorite meat or veggies.  You can buy this at Cavetools website or via amazon. Use this coupon code, SKEWERS15 to enjoy  15% discount upon checkout.
Aside from the menu above, I also made the kids favorite dish, the stuffed shells.
Then we made a no-bake  banana creme pie for dessert.
Hubby loves burger so I made sure to make some  burgers too so we have some choices to eat.  I was in the mood to cook so they got lucky to have those choices for Valentine's Day.
How about you, did you go out to eat or  are you like me who  cooked and enjoyed the rest of the day at home?  Personally, Valentine's Day is way overrated.  For me it's just another day, it is like Valentine's day everyday for my husband and I anyway so no big deal.  I do however get excited because I always get a pot of mini roses from my husband which I always plant in our garden.  It's nice seeing  them bloom in the summer.

Preparing Square Burgers Ahead of Time

We are moving in a couple of weeks which means that we will be super busy packing and unpacking  so I prepared some  square burgers.  It  will be easy   to throw them in the grill when I can't  prepare an elaborate meal.  Preparing  these  burgers are super easy  using my  burger press from Cavetools.  When it comes to grilling and BBQ tools, I like  Cavetools  because they have the best  tools there is  that you can find.
I added some chopped onions, a dash of cumin, black pepper, Hawaiian sea salt, and chili powder.  I only used two pounds of ground beef , that's about an ideal weight for 6 square burger patties.
The kids are very fond of the built-in burger dimpler if this hamburger press.  I love it too because  it makes your burger stay flat when you are grilling them.
You can  buy this with 15% Off using this code  LZEN8T4G via amazon .
The advantage of  having this burger press is  that it  keeps your patties  fresh as it seals tight and  stacks easily in the freezer.
When we bought  a quarter of beef  early this year, we  chose  a lot of ground beef cuts because that's what we use the most in cooking.

BBQ Grill Light

Spring has not  settle in just yet in our area, one day it is a bit warm and the next 6 days it's freezing.  We haven't had the chance to really  enjoy  the beauty of Spring.  The Spring flowers  did not last very long because we had  snow  again and it  shorten the  blooms of the plants.   Having said that, barbecuing outside is  still not in play.  I might not be able to enjoy  grilling until we have moved to our new place but I am glad that I have   all the things that I need for grilling.
I got this BBQ grill light  from Cavetools  and I am excited to   put this to use.  It would not be  soon but  I am excited.  This  grill light will  give you the MAXIMUM VISIBILITY  when grilling during night time.  The 3 brightness settings provide 100 + Lumens which is the same used in tactical applications for security guards, police and fireman which is great.  It would fit any handle,  be it  rectangular or  circular bars. What cool about this light is that, not only it is  usable for grilling but you can also use it for bike lighting or any other flashlight needs.  This would be great  to use also if you are working in a garage or in the attic.  It's great to have during brownouts.
This  grill light is water and heat resistant.  It is built to withstand hot temperatures on the grill and nighttime grilling in the rain.  I love that it comes with the  screw driver as well so  you have the  perfect tool to  mount  the light in your  BBQ grill or  anywhere you want to   mount it in.  It comes with 25 PROFESSIONAL RECIPES.  The  step by step instructions and detailed tutorial videos are great for the family who loves to do BBQ.  You can  buy this  via  amazon and use this coupon code 3I9JHBH9 to enjoy a 15% Off discount.

Grill Brush Triple Stainless Steel Bristles #BBQBrush

I am excited for this week because we will have a nice weather.  The temperature is suppose to go up to 70 degrees which is really nice.  By weekend however,  the temperature is going to go back down to freezing again.  It is hard to get used to this weather changes but I will take any warm day I could have.  It would be nice to go out and  do some BBQ but I will wait till summer time because we will be moving soon and I don't want to get the grill dirty yet until we finally settle to the new home.
I  am glad that I have all the tools  that I need when the right  time comes.  The recent BBQ tool I got from Cavetools is this triple stainless steel bristle BBQ grill brush which is supposed to be  100% RUST PROOF DESIGN.
I like it that you  don't have to  worry about forgetting your brush outside again because it won't rust.   It is designed to keep all 3 brushes tight together for maximum cleaning power on all types of grill grates.  IT also has the HIGHEST BRISTLE DENSITY.
You can get this via amazon for $14.99 but you can enjoy an extra 15% off  using this Amazon Coupon Code V9BW7SDN.  You can also visit directly the link  I have provided above at Cavetools website, it is on sale for $12.99.

Heavy Duty BBQ Grill Tools Set @CaveTools #ProductReview

I can't believe how drastic the weather have changed in the past couple of weeks.  We woke up to a 28 degrees this morning and it was freezing!  My  hands were numb and painful when I went for my  morning walk.  Anyway, to warm  our  cold topic up, let's talk about grilling!  Yeah, I know, I can't grill outside anymore because it is freezing.  We covered our grill last week and won't be able to use it until next summer.  However, I am so glad to have  this BBQ Grill Tools set that Cavetools sent me for review.  I may not be able to  use it for now but it will certainly be put to use next year.
The set includes a spatula, an oversized tongs, and meat carving fork.  All of these are heavy duty and the  has very elegant design so if you love to entertain, these are tools that would wow  guests.  The tongs clamp shuts  for easy storage .  If you notice, the spatula has a bottle opener which makes it a versatile grilling tool for  those who love to sip beer while grilling  steak.  This would be a great  spatula for them as it will keep them "hydrated"  while working on a hot environment.  I also love that it has serrated edge because  it makes it easier to flip a steak just in case the meat  stick to the grill.
I love that each tool has an extra wide hanging hooks although I don't normally  hang my utensils but it's nice that  these are designed like this because someday, we might be able to afford to  upgrade our  outdated kitchen and  design it the way I want it  it to function for our needs.
Since I can' grill outside anymore, I just borrowed this photo from Cavetools website to show how the tongs can handle any size of meat when grilling.
As usual, these are  dishwasher safe which makes it nice for those who doesn't like  manual dish washing.  You can get this for $28.99, a 35% savings from its original price of $45.  The best part of this is, when you buy the set, you also get their BBQ recipe book with 25 professional recipes for the family - Sauces, ribs, chicken, kabobs, and more.  This would  be a great gift this coming  Christmas for your love ones who love to grill!  Anyway, you can get this  via Amazon, you can use this code FWOBWJHP for a 15% discount.
