2-in-1 Food Chain

These photos were taken when we  had our short  road trip to the Amish  place in Ohio.  We  dropped by at this  Long John's Silver and Taco Bell joint food chain.  IN our  small city, there is no  joint place like this which I wish there is because it is neat how you Can go in one place and found two  different  chain serving different foods.  

It is always fun to document  first experience just like this one.  We often forget  it when we don't have something to look back to.

 It was beautiful inside.

 Of course, my daughter who love taco  will never pass an opportunity to have some lol.

 Opps, sorry I caught you there Anak hehehe.

 There is one establishment like this up in Robinson area in PA so we go there once in a while when we are by Robinson.  

Big and Little Cakes 365/253

Our family friend's daughter had recently turned one year old and we were invited to witness the big first ONE. Bumble Bee had a very big cake.

She also had a little one.  She immediately stuck her  little finger in it lol.

September 11, 2010:

• Today is a very important date in American history.  It's been a decade since the 9/11 attack.  I was still in the Philippines then and never knew that I would be able to live here in the land of the free.  I pray for those families who lost their love ones during the attack.  
• Our church gave tribute to those  victims during the said event.  Some  students from St. Joesph School including  Ms. Burrito sung  beautiful songs in the church. 
• Today is also Grandparents Day and it's a very special one for my family.  My FIL went to church with us today.  He isn't  a church goer  type  but he went with us so the kids were very happy.  Thanks a lot Dad, that meant a lot to us!
• We  dined out at Eat'n Park after church then  we  dropped by to see  and visit Dave but I they were not there so we drove Dad home.  We stayed there for hours then came home.  
• We ate some pet past salad  before  bed time, reviewed Ms. Burrito's  materials for her exam tomorrow, cleaned  the dishes, and now the kids are in bed.

Make the most out of the Summer by enjoying a Picnic

In one of my previous blog posts on this blog,  I told you how we managed to save money in Disney World by bringing delicious fruits as a snack to keep us going throughout the day. It got me thinking about picnics and how everyone loved them as a child, playing in the sunshine and enjoying the summer with the family.

Why not take the opportunity to take your family to your favorite picnic spot? Forget about the cutlery, try and aim to bring finger food. It’s great to take different types of food, lay them out on your rug and let everyone dig in.

Ideas of what to take include crisps, hard boiled eggs, carrot batons, cucumber batons, bananas, grapes, cereal bars, berries, apples, pears, cheese, salad, potato salad, olives, bread sticks, pitta bread, potato salad, houmous, cherry tomatoes, baguettes, ham, salami or a ready cooked roast chicks. The possibilities of what to bring are endless!

If you don’t have ice packs to put in your cool box, re-use old bottles by filling them up about 80% fill with water and freeze. They’ll melt throughout the day – ready to drink later on in the afternoon! You could also give this ago with cartons of fruit juices.

However, even though picnics are lovely and easy to make, they can be the cause of food poisoning if you’re not careful as food hanging around in the sun offers a breeding ground for some horrible bugs. If you bring meat, remember to keep it cold!

Above is the personalized wall clock that my sister-in-law gave to my husband as a Christmas present few years ago. She made this clock herself. daddy asked the kids what they want to do a couple of days ago, I suggested for him to teach the kids on how to read the time on the clock.

He draw a clock on the paper and started teaching them. I remember this clock so I gave it to them. It's more effective than a drawing coz the kids got to turn the hands of the clock.

It is very important to teach the kids the importance of time. Not only on how to read time but everything that associated with it.

Father's Day Plan

We don't really have special plan for father's day rather than spending it with our dear Dad Pooch. Me and the kids already gave John the present a couple of weeks ago so no more shopping spree for us lol.. Anyhow, below are some photos I took when we visited Dad the other day. It's precious to look at the three generations.

EJ is the most sweet child, he is sweeter than ate lol. He wants to hug, kiss and cuddle all the time. Naku gugwardyahan ko to pag teens na at baka makabuntis agad hahaha. Hay kung ano ano iniisip ko, 1:26 na kasi. O sya goodnight everyone!

Family weekend with Santa

The MWR (Morale, Welfare and Recreation) organized an event for kids last Saturday, they called it Winter Wonderland. We took our children there for them to enjoy the weekend. They have for different booths for the kids to try. There's cookie decorating, coloring pictures, christmas ornament arts and craft and a painting tattoo booth. Our daughter Rylie tried the cookie decorating and xmas ornament craft. Ej on the other hand, scribbled crayons on one of the pictures on the booth.

Of course Santa won't be absent in the occasion, so here are the kids waiting in line for their turn to sit in Santa's lap and get something lol..

Santa asked Rylie what she wants for Christmas and she told her that she wanted a scooter.

When Santa gave her the wrapped up gifts, she was not happy when she opened it because she thought she is getting the gift she wanted for Christmas ha ha ha.. Kids are so funny...
