Poinsettia in Pink

I received a poinsettia from my niece-in-law Jen  on Christmas.  Thanks a lot Jen, I love it!  I have a poinsettia here at home but  it doesn't  bloom in Christmas but late February or March.

Do you buy  this  festive plant  on  holidays?

This is the rose that I picked from the garden.  Took a picture of it's shadow before it finally die.  Aren't rose's shadow lovely?
