Travel Gluten Free this Month with Glutino #ProductReview

Glutino is focusing their them on traveling with gluten-free this month of June. They sent me some snacks and other gluten-free products to try for our road trip adventures. I received this box of goodies to try and I am  happy to say that we have been  enjoying them since it arrived.
In the box includes:
  • 3 packs of  wafer bites
  • 1 bag of pretzel chips
  • 1 bag of pretzel sticks
  • 2 bags of animal crackers
  • 1 pack of sea salt cracker chips
  • 1 chocolate vanila creme
  • 1 box double chocolate brownie mix
  • 1 pizza crust mix

We recently had  a chance to  explore the  Brooke County Historical Museum in Wellsburg and I brought a pack of this gluten-free original animal crackers for us to munch on  while we travel.  It was a perfect snack to bring.  I think I enhjoyed animal crackers more than my kids does, lol.
Double Chocolate Brownie is entrely too chocolaty.  My kids baked this  by themeselves when I was out gardening.  IT was a delightful surprise when I came in the house and the  brownie smells just swept through my nose.  You can check how they did on their baking escapade though the link.

"An Ocean of Delight" that's what it is with this sea salt flavored  snack cracchers.  It is great  for snacking when my kids and I are out in the patio reading our books.
You don't need anything else to eat with this, just a cup of juice or a bottle of water is perfect.  It is delicious as it is right out the bag.
I love this pretzel sticks, they are super crunchy and  light.  This was what we brought as our snack during our Mother's Day trekking adventure in Tomlinson Run  State Park.  This reminds me of the sweet potato  fries that my mother used to make for us to snack on when we were  growing up.  They are delicious!
I think  my children's favorite of all  is this wondrously rich chocolate vanila creme.  They polished this pack the moment they  opened it.

They love squeezing it together  and let the creme comes out in the tiny holes of the cookies.
It's a fun and delicious snack to have and it's gluten-free!  I think it's great that Glutino made these gluten free  snacks suoer delicious.  Gone are the days when some consumer would say "Oh it's gluten-free, I bet it's boring and bland!"
For my birthday this year, the kids and I decided to make   pizza.  We used the pizza crust that  Glutino sent us and it was  very easy to prepare.  You can check out our  happy bonding  making this yummy pizza.  It's loaded with veggies and turkey sausage, yum, yum, yum!
I loVE HAving the  gluten-free all purpose flour at home.  Even my  9-year old little chef  keep surprising us with some baked goodies and  lately this gluten-free pancakes that she made and also posted here in my blog.
Here's what we  did with the  wafer bites.  We made some WaferKebabs for snack, it was a hit!  You may check the post through the link.
Last but not the least, it is always  best to save the best for last because this chewy and delicious Double Chocolate Mocha Cookies  were the bomb.  I baked this after my  children's  school olympic.  My son and husband love thise  cookies.  The coffee and   cocoa in it just made it extra delicious and aromatic.
Thank you so much once again Glutino for this  healthy  products!

Don't forget to check the link for recipes of each  goodies!

Meatloaf #A-Spice-A-Day#94

I am not really crazy about meatloaf so I seldom make it,only when  hubby is craving for it hehehe.  I made this  last month, it was actually really good!  Hubby usually   eats this with mashed potatoes or green bean casserole but I like eating it with rice.  No wonder I can' get rid of my tummy fats because I just can't get rid of my beloved white rice hehehe.

  • Daughter will be riding the transit bus with her friend Juliana today after school.  They always invite Ms. Burrito for a play date.  They live in rich  neighborhood  part of this town, the place my husband calls "Millionaire Acres" lol.  Most of the homeowners there are  doctors, business owners, and other  rich families in the city.

Foods at The Mess Deck Inside USS Lexington

After our exciting tour  in different parts of USS Lexington, we decided to grab some bites at their  cafeteria.  We ate at The Mess Deck to help out their business instead of going to the nearby restaurant.

Few snaps while waiting for our orders.

We had  club sandwiches....

...  breaded fried shrimp.

..and taco salad.

I did not  care much about their food but nevertheless, it was a fun and enjoyable journey for all of us.

#CoronaRita Margarita

My very first experience of  dining at Chili's was when we were still  in South Korea.  We went to a  three-day getaway in Osan where the  Air Force base is.  Inside the  base, there was a big Chili establishment  and we  had our first night  dinner there.  It was a special  occasion for us as we celebrated  our  wedding anniversary in Osan.  What could be more special than celebrating  the occasion with  a bottle of wine right?  But with two kids in tow, my husband and I couldn't do that besides we are not really drinkers so we celebrated it with full belly.  If you are celebrating something  momentous in your life, Chili is one of the places I would recommend to eat.  They have a very good  selection of food and you can try the CoronaRita at Chili's.  CoronaRita is made with Jose Cuervo Especial Tequila and Coronita.  The first and last time I have ever tasted Jose Cuervo was during my college years.  My friends  teased  me because I got tipsy just for a little drink of Margarita lol.  As I have said I am not a drinker so when I do drink, just  a little  will  knock me out.  It's nice to have a drink  once in a while though, it is good for your health.  As long as you do it in moderation, it is okay.

As you can see in this photo, our daughter love the Caesar Salad there.  I love their Fajita Trio very much!  I would love to  go to Chili's and  eat dinner there one of these days.

Banana

Banana is the common name for herbaceous plants of the genus Musa and for the fruit they produce.  I often wonder why banana is called a tree.  The photo was taken in Orlando Florida.

  • Last month, we did not attend  any Sunday mass  due to the stomach flu that   all of us got.
  • We started on  another puzzle this morning  but we had to stop  so we could go to church.
  • We  went to Dad's after mass and had  dinner with him and my SIL's family.  Thanks Chris for the wonderful dinner.  We stayed there for the rest of the afternoon.  We came home past 6 already.

Traveling with Kids

Moving from one place to another gave us the u a chance to invest in good Luggage Sets that we can use every time we travel.  Even our kids has their own.  Getting your kids their own luggage boost their  willingness to help out with the things that you  need when travelling.  It also gives them the sense of responsibility and  taking care of their stuff.

When w had our  vacation in the Philippines, one  of our big luggage got tore up in the plane so we decided to buy us a new set before going back to Korea.  We love the one that we  have right now because it is durable, it holds a lot of things, and  you can pull it so easily.  The same set was the one we used when we had our one week vacation in Orlando Florida.

Traveling with kids is challenging but if you know what they want to do during the transit and you are prepared for it, the travel time is enjoyable for both the kids and the parents.  I want to share to you this website where you can find different kinds of luggage.
